INTEROCEAN 530

12 tube chassis 2038

This page is preliminary and the links are not working yet. In time I will be adding content to the links. Thanks for reading!

Interocean is a brand name that Zenith used around 1931-1933 to allow them to sell radios at a price point lower than a "Zenith" branded radio. They were really no different than corresponding Zenith models, only the name was changed.

Zenith also used the brand name "Sky Rover" on a couple models, but still used the "Interocean" name on the model tag.

The dial above was painted with gold paint. The marque below is one and the same as above, but after the paint was removed.

Very strange that I found another "Interocean 530" but in a completely different cabinet.
This is very confusing as I have no reason to believe either one was modified after leaving the factory.

Nonetheless, here is the other Interocean 530. It uses the same cabinet as the 617 and the 441.
Interestingly enough, I know of another collector who has one of these with the "Zenith" name on it and model 530 on the back.
